The room is dim and quiet; there is a shuffling of feet as a lone figure rises from his seat. A hushed murmur goes around the room; they look to him their eyes now full of support and understanding…
He coughs as he clears his throat still not sure as to if he should declare his affliction, from behind he hears a supportive voice, “your amongst friends here, there’s no shame in it”.
Still unsure he opens his mouth and the words find themselves…
“I’m addicted to eBay, there it is I’ve said it!”
“Yes and…” A comment is thrown from the other side of the room. The murmur rises to chatter as others share their experiences.
“I’m addicted to eBay, and now I have nowhere to live… The bug bit me and now EVERYTHING is GONE, even the stuff that I wanted to keep!”
“It started innocently enough but then I couldn’t help myself. I started using a couple of times a week.”
“ First it was my Old golf clubs and the wife’s old day-glow Tupperware. Then I got into the hard stuff like garden and power tools…. “
“I had to face up to the fact that I had a problem when the wife left me because I had taken a deposit on PayPal for the kids and had boxed the cat because it had been bought in a no reserve auction by the local Thai restaurant!”
Yes friends, it may all start innocently enough. You think that you can handle it, “I know what I’m doing, I wont get hooked”. And then… WHAM!
You’ve sold the family cat… and probability your neighbour’s cat too!
So here are a couple of funky things that I have sold on eBay. Remember it may start innocently enough but then so did Monica Lewinski’s internship… And look at what happened there!

Leather Vintage Army Surplus Air force Pilots Boots
I came across these boots in a army surplus supply store. The boots were newspaper wrapped, the packaging dated 16th of June 1969. The boots are hand made with stitched soles.
The manufactures stamp on the sole of the boots reads:Made by Rossiters Pty Ltd All Leather Sole
I attempted to wear these oh so funky vintage boots on a couple of occasions though there a touch tight for me. I'm a size 8 (UK42). Getting into the boots was quite easy though I soon got over how cool they looked after loosing the feeling in my toes and falling flat on my face...
The boots were originally a men's size 6, I had the boots stretched professionally.
The boots are is excellent condition and are definitely good for another 35 years!
It's ok coz the boots looked good. As Spike Lee once said "It's all about the shoes!"
To keep the boots in top condition I have had tem fully soled and healed, the boots are full leather (upper and sole).
